Abstract: The emergence of various kinds of realities (VR, AR, MR, XR
etc.) entails the need to combine physical and digital parts of human
experiences in order to make users feel immersed and impressed. The talk
highlights key features of immersive experiences (the new focus of media
technology at BTHs Campus Karlshamn) and underlying factors. It also
elaborates on the roles of AI/ML and IoT as enablers for well-perceived
immersive experiences.
