    Personal profile

    Research

My research focus is students' learning and factors that affect academic success. I have mainly been interested in students' study social relations and students' so-called multiplex network. In 2015, I defended my dissertation with the title Building study-related relationships: how student relationships and readiness affect academic outcome in higher education

Ongoing research is about university teachers' relational competence but also how teachers can work to promote study social relations in the classroom. A current research project (2024-2025) involving researchers from HKR and Griffith University in Australia, is focused on female students with ADHD and their experiences of their studies and the support they receive.

In 202, Dr. Linda Plantin Ewe and I received external funds from The Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR) for the development of a national higher education pedagogical course in relational pedagogy. The course was given as a pilot at HKR VT2024 and then given nationally.

    Teaching

I currently teach bachelor level courses in Business English and Leadership and Intercultural Communication in the Business Program at HKR. Furthermore, I am engaged in pedagogical development and in various teaching in higher education courses.
