Personal profile

Research

I am employed at Kristianstad University as an associate professor. My thesis concerned School Nurses’ work to perceive, record and improve schoolchildren’s health. My research also focus how depression can be prevented in adolescents using systematic school-based interventions. I also conducts research on family focused nursing using health supportive conversations to turn a negative weight development among pre-school children.

Teaching

I have been a registered nurse since 1978 (Helsingborg) and completed a one-year training in children's health in 1982 (Malmö University). I have a Master in Nursing Science 1998 (Lund University). I have worked as a head-nurse at a pediatrician clinic in Ängelholm (1982-1985), as a school nurse in Klippan (1985-1994), as a lecturer at Kristianstad University (1994 – ongoing, associate professor from 2017) and as a lecturer at Malmö University (2012).  I have a PhD in Public Health Science (The Nordic School of Public health, Gothenburg).
