Research
My research interests concern children's and young people's reading and how fiction can be used in teaching. In 2022 I started my PhD project and it is focused on how fiction can be used as a didactic tool in upper secondary science education.
In parallel with the PhD project, I am conducting research on the didactic potential of fiction in the subject of home economics, together with colleagues at Kristianstad University.
Teaching
I am a lecturer in educational science and a licensed teacher of Swedish, history and Swedish as a second language for SFI. I have worked in primary and secondary schools for many years as a teacher, school developer, and school leader.
I have been a member of reference groups for the Swedish National Agency for Education related to curriculum work and school library issues.
