Personal profile

Research

I am professor of Business Administration (with a focus on Marketing and Retailing) at the Faculty of Business at Kristianstad University. I have PhD degree (2007) in Business Administration from Jönköping International Business School. My PhD thesis focused on "Technology Adoption" and industrial marketing.

Since around the year 2000, I have worked with university-level teaching and educational issues. In my work, I try to strike a good balance between teaching and research. I have extensive pedagogical experience at all levels in academia. I have been tenured since 2008, and became associate professor since 2011 and professor in 2018. I have been engaged in teaching activities at a handful of universities in Sweden, guest lecturing at several other Swedish universities and abroad. I have also been responsible for administration and development of educational programmes. I am involved in courses in business administration at all levels (undergraduate, graduate, executive and doctoral courses) and with particular focus on retail marketing management.

My current research focuses on retail and marketing and I publish relatively frequently in high-quality journals, supervise a group of PhD students, engage in externally funded research and work in a highly reputable international research network. I have done research on retail sustainability development, retail sourcing development, retail format development, retail internationalization and many other areas. My works are published in journals like European Retail Research (Springer), Industrial Marketing Management (Elsevier), Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management (Elsevier), International Journal of Retail & Distribution Management (Emerald), The International Review of Retail, Distribution and Consumer Research (Taylor & Francis), and others.
