Research
I have extensive experience in academic teaching in environmental technology/environmental science and in environmental research projects concerning work environment and air quality, water management including characterization and purification of leachate from landfills, as well as pharmaceuticals in wastewater and sludge. The overall goal of this research has been to find technical solutions to environmental problems. Several of the projects have been carried out in collaboration with private companies and municipalities. I have also been involved in international research projects in Europe and Asia regarding waste management issues. Currently, I am involved in research on the chemistry of flavors and smells with a focus on the chemical analysis of fragrances. This within projects with a focus on quality for the food and drink of the future, and more environmentally oriented projects for human well-being.
Teaching
At Kristianstad University, I have course responsibility for several courses linked to the Environmental Strategy Programme. Teaches, among other things, waste management, community planning, sustainable cities and environmental measurement technology.
