Lina Maria Ellegård

I am an Associate Professor of Economics at Kristianstad University . I also have a part-time position as a researcher at the Department of Economics, Lund University.

My research is mainly in health economics and concerns the organization and financing of health care, with a particular focus on Swedish primary care. I study how patients and health care providers respond to incentives and organizational arrangements, using primarily Swedish administrative data.

Current research interests include continuity of care, the organization of team-based primary care, private and corporate ownership, competition and patient choice, and the design of provider payment systems. I also work on questions related to digital health care, elderly care and productivity in publicly funded health and social care.
