My research interest lies in the field of special education/educational science. I am particularly interested in investigating the educational encounter with students with neurodevelopmental disabilities, particularly autism, in pre-, primary school. I am also interested in how children and students with autism can be included in research contexts as active participants. Furthermore, I am interested in mixed methods and how this can be applied and implemented in educational science contexts. Between the years 2018–2022, I completed my doctoral studies within a national research school "Special Education for Teacher Educators (SET), which was funded by the Swedish Research Council (Dnr. 2017-06039). In November 2022, I did my dissertation with my thesis: "Equity for autistic students - professional learning to accommodate inclusive education". The thesis focuses on how or whether teachers' participation in professional development initiatives changes to practice in pre-and primary school. Three perspectives were included: professionals (teachers, principals), parents of children with autism, and children/students with autism themselves.
