Abstract

The overall aim of this project is to further explore the role of mathematics for physics teaching and learning in upper-secondary school. More specifically the project aims at investigating physics teachers’ views on physics teaching and the role of mathematics, as well as contributing to the understanding of how relations between Reality – Theoretical models – Mathematics are communicated in different kinds of instructional situations (lectures, problem solving and labwork) by different physics teachers in Swedish uppersecondary physics.
