Abstract
The spectrum of five-times ionized silicon, Si VI, has been investigated in the wavelength region 308-452 AA using laser-produced plasmas. Twenty-nine new lines have been identified in the 2s22p43p-2s22p44s and 2s22p43p-2s22p44d transition arrays. Fourteen new levels have been established in the 2s22p44s and the 2s22p44d configurations. The identifications are supported by isoelectronic comparisons and by Slater-Condon parametric calculations.
