Abstract

This bachelor thesis chose a combination of Augmented Reality (AR) and smart tourism focusing on cultural heritage in the home context to see if this selected combination has the potential to contribute to people's home entertainment alternatives. With the help of exploratory tasks and interviews, this study managed to achieve interesting insights and a better understanding of people's needs, expectations, and requirements regarding home entertainment alternatives and AR user interface. The study captured many valuable feedback and experiences of the participants throughout this study in the form of design guidelines and design proposals which can be useful for future development of AR concepts and AR interface design.
