School is a vital part of the institutional changes needed in order for a public sphere to be realized, in which ordinary citizens make way for legitimate decisionmaking. Deliberative pedagogy could be seen as a means for this more commited political involvement. This thesis examines the presence of such pedagogy by interviewing four teachers in social studies.
