Laserbehandling vid peri-implantit

: en litteraturstudie

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of laser therapy in the non-surgical treatment of peri-implantitis. The method used was a general literature study where the search for scientific articles was performed in the PubMed database. The results of the literature study were compiled based on 11 scientific articles. The results showed within the laser groups that Er:YAG laser, diode laser, photodynamic therapy and Nd: YAG laser have a positive effect on different parameters, but to varying degrees in the treatment of peri-implantitis. However, non-surgical laser treatment has corresponding effect on various parameters as other conventional non-surgical clinical treatments in peri-implantitis. The conclusion of the literature study is that the result showed that non-surgical laser treatment has an effect on various parameters in peri-implantitis that corresponds with other non-surgical treatments. Further research is needed on the effect of different laser treatments in the treatment of peri-implantitis.
