Abstract
The purpose of the present study is to investigate students' experiences of the phenomenon of relational competence in mathematics teachers. Studies on relationships, relational pedagogy or relational competence generally can be found. Studies of students' experience of relational competence are few and students' experience of mathematics teachers' relational competence non-existent. This study is based on the latter, to examine students' experience of the phenomenon ofrelational competence in mathematics teachers, which contributes to our study filling a void. The methodology of the study consists of a content analysis with a phenomenographic research approach. The data collection consists of surveys that students in year two in high school have answered. The results show through the students' experience how multifaceted relationship skills are.
