The purpose of my work is to investigate teachers' strategies in connection with religious positioning in a multicultural classroom where challenges may occur. Based on a qualitative method, it was chosen to also investigate what opportunities exist to meet these challenges in religious education. In this study, it was chosen to focus on the teacher's perspective based on semi-structured interviews with religion teachers from different primary schools. In today's classrooms there are students with different backgrounds and cultures as well as students with religious positions, hence religion can be a sensitive subject. How do the teachers choose to teach such a subject and interact with the students so that everyone feels secure in their education and gets a lifelong desire to learn. The result I came to after analyzing based on the empirical material and the socio-cultural perspective is that you should not see the multicultural classroom as a challenge but more as an opportunity where the students share in each other's experiences. It puts an emphasis on how teaching is planned based on inclusion and interaction between students. But also how values are taught to prevent counterproductive questions in the classroom.
