These days, the usage of drone vehicle applications
are growing in practice. The drone applications are workflows
that access different cloud services to achieve various intended
goals. For instance, drone package delivery, surveillance monitoring, product transfer, and security monitoring are performed via
drones. However, these applications depend on cloud services and
have security, execution time, and transmission constraints. This
study proposes the microservice-aware secure task scheduling
(MASTS) algorithm and framework. The main objective is to
minimize the system’s processing time and transmission time.
Simulation results show that the proposed method combines the
optimal microservices, minimizes their execution time by 19%,
transmission time by 20%, and meets the security and deadline
constraints. In addition, it is observed and analyzed that the proposed method has better performance than existing conventional
microservices systems for workflow drone applications.
