    Sammanfattning

Using my website www. walterdraycot. corn as a starting point, this article demonstrates that the World Wide Web presents special opportunities for scholars of autobiography. I show how my research on Private Walter MacKay Draycot can be extended by considering additional forms of analysis and comparison facilitated by publication on the Web, thereby helping to correct the simplified story, i. e. myth of the war established by the poems and memoirs of among others Siegfried Sassoon, Robert Graves and Edmund Blunden.
